The lights dimmed, and the audience was hushed, all excited for what was to come. Occasional whispers could be heard, but they soon quieted down. A figure crossed the stage to the podium and welcomed those in attendance, before approaching the center of the stage. As he raised his arms, the band got set, instruments by their lips and ready to perform.
In terms of the band program, Ellison High School has had one of their best years yet. Along with finishing off such an exceptional marching season, the band has been preparing nonstop for their upcoming concerts and competitions.
After all that excitement, what would be a better way to end the year than byspending time with family and listening to your favorite Christmas songs?Â
With this in mind, the Ellison Eagles Band finished off 2018 with an interactive Christmas concert to celebrate the festive time of year. The performance included many familiar classics, such as Laughing All the Way, A Crazy Russian Christmas, Sleigh Ride, and Celtic Carol. The music included an active crowd that laughed and sang along with the cheerful carols.
With the success of the Christmas concert, there is only more to come with their next show, the Spring concert, on May 21st, from 7 pm to 9 pm. The performance is open to the public and has a friendly atmosphere and of course, spectacular music.
