International Women's Day

A time to celebrate all women from around the world, International Women’s Day takes place Friday March 8th. Individuals of both genders can come together to celebrate the achievements made in society both for and by women. This year’s campaign slogan is “Balance for Better.” “Balance for Better” is a movement/campaign focused on balancing society for both men and women for the better. (i.e. closing the wage gap, equal pay for equal work, and rights for women that equal to men). To partake in International Women’s Day, there are multiple things one can do, such as striking a pose (as seen in the photo above) and posting it on social media with the hashtag #balanceforbetter, running a campaign within your community (for more information follow the link listed below), donating, or attending local charity events or concerts. Make it known by talking about International Women’s Day to your community and sharing the ways to incorporate celebrating the achievements of women from every corner of the world.
