Camila Zorrilla, a member of the 2019 Leadership Academy, will be hosting a health fair for her leadership end of the year project. The event will be held at the Lions Club Park on April 20, beginning at 9 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon. The inspiration of the event rooted from her early childhood and within family members. Growing up, Ms. Zorrilla suffered from mild obesity. However, since then, with the help of lifestyle changes such as joining sports and improved eating habits, she has successfully created a healthy lifestyle tailored to her habits. As Ms. Zorilla was organizing the event herself, she was surprised to find out that much of her inspiration is within herself as well as amongst her family and friends. Wanting to assist others who are interested in obtaining a healthier lifestyle, she is inviting individuals of all age groups to come and participate. Ms. Camila Zorrilla has prepared several events appropriate for all age groups, aiming to be informative and fun. For the younger age groups: an Easter egg hunt, and for age groups 15 and older: instruction from Camp Gladiator, Under Kunstruction, as well as a guest speaker who is specialized in planning and promoting healthy lifestyle varieties. Through this event, Ms. Zorilla hopes to educate and support all individuals who are interested in bettering their lifestyle, as well as address unhealthy eating habits and lifestyle choices that many people struggle to balance and maintain.
